In an era marked by digital dominance and a scarcity of skilled labour, automation emerges as a compelling remedy. While the automation of port activities is both crucial and compelling, the prospect of an 800-ton ship embarking on its voyage without a human presence takes the spotlight.
This event will convene experts in smart shipping, autonomous vessels, trade policy and investment from both the UK and Belgian side. It will look to foster collaboration for enabling and emerging technology, and encourage trade and investment. This collaboration reflects a paradigm shift that demands the entire maritime industry to adapt and transform its operations. Our focal point revolves around the solutions that drive this transformative evolution.

The afternoon event will include a pitching session for six UK companies. We are looking for UK companies that have innovative solutions in maritime autonomous systems for the Belgian market.
This event will give you the opportunity to present your solution in front of the Belgian maritime industry (ports, logistics companies, telecom operators, etc) and potentially create business leads.

Companies interested will need to submit their interest to us by 22 December and we will then - together with local experts – select six out of them. Selection outcomes will be communicated at the end of January. Companies applying will need to be sure to be able to come to Antwerp on 4 March.
