This one of four Regional Events being run as part of the Cyber Runway programme for entrepreneurs, startups and scaleups.


What is the Cyber Runway Programme
Cyber Runway is part of the UK government's wider work to develop the UK's strength in cyber as we build back better after the pandemic and improve prosperity and security.

The new programme - funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and delivered by Plexal in partnership with CyLon, Deloitte and The Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) - follows a number of other DCMS-funded cyber programmes which have now completed. These include HutZero, Cyber 101 and Tech Nation's cyber accelerator for scaleups.

Cyber Runway aims to support 107 organisations and companies over the course of six months and it will see entrepreneurs and businesses across the four nations get access to business masterclasses, mentoring, product development support, networking events and backing to trade internationally and secure investment so they can turn their ideas into commercial successes.

This support will be provided through an Accelerator which will be complimented by Regional Events.


About the Cyber Runway Accelerator
From budding entrepreneurs with an idea to growing startups and scaleups that dream big, Cyber Runway fast tracks the growth of innovators. The accelerator is being delivered in person and/or virtually across the UK.

The 107 members of this national accelerator keep 100% of their IP and equity, the programme is only interested in helping them grow.

About the Cyber Runway Regional Events
In addition to the members of the national programme, cyber entrepreneurs, SMEs and startups can join us for a combination of face-to-face and virtual events focused on Belfast, Sheffield, Cardiff, Dundee and Glasgow as our Cyber Runway accelerator hits the road!

This is a brilliant chance to make connections and join intensive sessions on investment, branding, PR, diversity, pitching and more.

The events are open to everyone.


This Cyber Runway Regional Event - Wales
We're hosting a virtual event to bring the community closer together. Join us for networking, insights and a chance to hear from and connect with leading innovators from the ecosystem.

The event is open to cybersecurity startups, SMEs and entrepreneurs based in Wales and the South West of England.

The themes being covered during the event will be:-

DAY 1 - Product & Market and Sales & Marketing

• 11:00-11:30: Cyber Trends by Adrian Taylor, Deloitte
• 11:30-12:00: Selling to your ideal customer by Chris Muir, Capita
• 12:00-12:30: US Exporting by Andy Williams, Global Transatlantic
• 13:00-16:00: a series of 30 minute 1-2-1 sessions with the expert speakers. Please book 30 minute sessions with Adrian, Chris or Andy and details of a separate private web session will be sent to you prior to the event.

DAY 2 - Finance & Investment and Recruitment & Diversity

• 10:00-10:30: Welcome from John Davies, Cyber Wales
• 10:30-11:00: Innovation Funding by Tom Adamson, DASA
• 11:00-11:30: Legal process of Investing by Joel Clendinning, Eversheds
• 11:30-12:00: Diversity & Inclusion by Stephanie Itimi, Seidea
• 13:00-16:00: a series of 30 minute 1-2-1 sessions with the expert speakers. Please book 30 minute sessions with Tom, Joel or Steophanie and details of a separate private web session will be sent to you prior to the event.

The themes are different for each session and the same person does not need to attend all the sessions so the most appropriate person from the organisation can attend on the day best suited to their needs.
